We are currently seeking a Technology Consultant-OSP Design to join our team in Long Beach, California.

 

What we need from you:

Prepare telecommunications drawings, specifications and reports (assessments) for existing facilities, renovations, and new construction. Capable of meeting with Clients to discuss technology needs and strategies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Locate telecommunications spaces,conduit pathway and user devices to support the telecommunications systems.Determine inter and intra building pathway and media requirements from architectural plans,tenant requirements and owner interviews. Design conduit, media, head end and device locations to fulfill the criteria outlined from 1 and 2. Coordinate architectural, civil, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical data from documents, occupant interviews, and field conditions to insure there are no interdisciplinary conflicts. Prepares floor plans, site plans, and other drawings for new construction and remodel projects. Compiles specifications and contract documents for assigned projects. Performs inspections of existing facilities to determine and verify relevant services and site layout, and to coordinate construction with plans and specifications.Assists in preparation of cost estimates and in coordination of construction and renovation projects. Strong background in Security as it relates to building infrastructure and campus wide security distribution.Outside plant experience with Copper and Fiber distribution.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD), preferred. Bachelors degree in related field At least 7 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Ability to collect field data and accurately record findings, ability to prepare floor, site, and other architectural plans using. Thorough knowledge of NEC, EIA/TIA BICSI and IEEE standards, ability to perform inspections and make necessary adjustments to conform to job specifications. Knowledge of contract documents and CSI format specifications. Knowledge of CATV, CCTV, wireless, security and audio visual products. Knowledge of LAN’s, WAN, networking products, technologies and protocols.
